County Roads & Bridges
The Division of Public Works (DPW) is the implementing agency responsible for the planning, design, and construction for improvements to the county road and bridge network. DPW is responsible for maintaining approximately 1,150 miles of roadways and 207 bridges.

Projects that receive funding are included in the Frederick County’s Capital Improvements Program (CIP), which identifies funding for projects for a 6-year time frame and is reviewed and approved by the Board of County Commissioners on an annual basis.
