Frederick County is located in the North central part of Maryland with 664 square miles of rolling mountains, flat river valleys, bubbling streams and bright green pastures. Those who settled here were drawn by the rich soils of the beautiful farmlands, as well as the proximity to towns where milk, produce, and other goods were a necessity.
The same quality of life and friendly atmosphere draws families and businesses to live, work, and visit here today. Agriculture remains an important industry.
