Options: Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center / Montevue Assisted Living
The Frederick Board of County Commissioners has reviewed options related to the future of the Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center (CCRC) and Montevue Assisted Living Facility (MALF) in order to eliminate the General Fund subsidy in the county budget. 100_1818.JPG
The Board issued a request for proposals for the sale, lease or other disposition of the facility.

Based on recommendations from an evaluation team, the Board decided to consider a proposal by Aurora Health Care Management LLC for the potential purchase of CCRC / MALF for $30 million with an agreement to enter into a four-year memorandum of understanding for resident care services for the current subsidized residents of Montevue Assisted Living.

A financial analysis shows that with the cash purchase price and other county revenues, the debt service on the facility will be paid off entirely.

A public hearing to consider Aurora's proposal is scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, at Frederick Community College's Jack B. Kussmaul Theater, located at 7932 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Md.
