Waste Management (Including Recycling)
Please use the links on the left side of the page to find specific information about our programs and services.
Due to the storm forecast to affect our region, curbside recycling service will begin early on Wednesday, November 26, starting at 4am. To accommodate this change, please place carts at the curb Tuesday evening. If your cart is not at the curb by 4am, it will be considered a “late set-out” and will not be collected.
If possible, carts should be removed from the street after being emptied on Wednesday, in order to assist with snow removal efforts. Crews will attempt to collect recyclables wherever possible, but please be aware that weather and road conditions during the day Wednesday may cause further disruption to curbside service. Updates on the status of the curbside recycling collection will be posted here as needed.

The Department of Solid Waste Management facilities and offices will be closed on Thursday, November 27 and there will be no curbside recycling that day. All recycling pick-ups will shift one day later for the remainder of the week. The landfill facilities will reopen on Friday, November 28, but the DSWM offices will remain closed until Monday, December 1.
Recycling Collection Schedules
Recycling collection days do not change from year to year. However, as a convenient reminder, all single-family households are mailed a print copy of their yearly recycling calendar in early December.
