Launched in the Fall of 2007 this initiative seeks to promote emergency preparedness in the business community and bolster public-private partnerships with the County's emergency service agencies where appropriate.

Goal:
(1) Prompt local businesses to identify and resolve gaps in emergency preparedness and response to best ensure a quick recovery after an emergency or disaster; where appropriate to work in partnership with Frederick County Government.

Objectives:
(1) Identify unique resources and personnel that the business community can make available to Frederick County Division of Emergency Management and first responders during emergency planning, exercise and crisis situations.

(2) Prompt business leaders to register with the Division of Emergency Management prior to a disaster to assist in communication from the County to businesses regarding emergencies in the community and provide a conduit for information from the business community to emergency officials.
