For Children Through 18 Years of Age
Free immunizations are provided for uninsured or underinsured children.

The Health Department does not bill insurance companies for vaccinations. If your child has health insurance, call your child's health care provider to schedule your child's vaccinations.

For College-Bound Students and Adults
Vaccines for college-bound students and adults are offered on fee-for-service basis.

The following vaccines are currently offered:

  • Gardasil
  • Hepatitis A
  • Hepatitis B
  • Measels, Mumps & Rubella (MMR)
  • Meningitis
  • Pneumonia
  • Tetanus/Tdap
  • Varicella (Chicken Pox)
  • Zostavax (For the prevention of shingles)

Flu Clinics
  • Clinics will be held at the Frederick County Health Department for children 6 months to 17 years of age.
  • The Health Department will not make available flu vaccine for adults 18 years of age and older.
  • Vaccination against influenza (flu) is recommended for children 6 months of age and older.
  • Flu shots and FluMist® (Nasal-spray vaccine) will be available at Health Department flu clinics..
    • FluMist® is approved for healthy individuals 2 - 49 years old, who are not pregnant.
  • Watch for notification of dates and times.

  • Available appointment times for children and adults are Wednesdays, 8:30am - 3:30 pm.
