Cigarette Restitution Fund Program (CRF)
Referred to as the Cigarette Restitution Fund (CRF) program, this effort is designed to develop and provide local tobacco prevention and cessation programming to reduce the disability and deaths caused by tobacco use.
The CRF program has four (4) objectives:
To eliminate exposure to environmental tobacco smoke
To eliminate the disparities related to tobacco use and its effect among population groups
To prevent tobacco use initiation among young people
To promote quitting among young people and adults
Stop Smoking for Life Cessation Classes
The CRF program provides FREE "Stop Smoking for Life" classes. Class participants are eligible for FREE nicotine patches, gum and lozenges with the consent of their physician. Up to eight (8) weeks of patches/gum are available.
Join the FREE six (6) hour Stop Smoking for Life classes. Classes are generally held twice a week for three weeks. For area businesses, churches/temples, non-profit and local government agencies, the CRF program can offer on-site free Stop Smoking for Life classes.

Frederick County Smoke Free MD Coalition
The CRF program supports a local tobacco prevention coalition composed of individuals, area businesses, non profits and government agencies that plan and work toward a tobacco free Frederick County. Community members are welcome to attend and participate. Meeting are conducted monthly. More Information

Maryland's FREE Tobacco Quitline. Free Counseling and patches for callers who register to quit smoking. Available for adults, pregnant woman and teens 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
