Alcohol Permit

County Code #1-12-45
No persons shall possess or consume alcoholic beverages on County Parkland except in accordance with the Alcohol Use Policy of the Division and with valid permit issued by the Division Director.

Designated Areas
Alcohol permits may be requested for designated areas in the following parks:

Ballenger Creek Park Kemptown Park Middletown Park Old National Pike Park

Pinecliff Park Rose Hill Manor Park Urbana District Park Utica District Park

Browning Building Alcohol Permit
Only the applicant making the Browning Building reservation can purchase an alcohol permit. Applicant must appear in person and show proof of age (21 or older) by providing a valid driver’s license or identification card.

Requirements
An applicant for an alcohol permit must meet all the following requirements:

1. First, reserve a picnic shelter, the Browning Building, a Rose Hill grounds area, or other designated area at one of the specified parks listed above.
2. Be 21 years of age or older
   • Appear in person to complete the necessary paperwork at 118 North Market Street, Frederick, MD 21701 (301-600-1646) for non-sports field related areas
   • 430 Pine Avenue, Frederick, MD 21701 (301-600-2353) for sports field related areas
   • Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 7:30 am-4:30 pm (except certain holidays)
3. Provide a copy of his / her driver’s license
4. Pay fees:
   • $25 for the daily permit and a security deposit (see below)
   • $200 for the seasonal permit (for organizations with seasonal field reservations only; security deposit included in sports field reservation)
