County Attorney John Mathias serves as the Legislative Director, identifying and monitoring bills of interest to the citizens of Frederick County, drafting legislation and providing public testimony before the General Assembly in Annapolis.

A Legislative Coordinator from the County Manager's Office provides assistance to the County Attorney during the legislative session (the 427th session convenes from January 13 - April 13, 2010) and as needed throughout the year in monitoring legislative proposals and reporting on the impact to Frederick County.

Citizens are encouraged to provide input and feedback in the legislative process.  For further information, contact County Attorney John Mathias at 301-600-1030 or Legislative Coordinator Ragen Cherney at 301-600-1049.
