2009 Junior Deputy Academy

The Junior Deputy Academy provides kids an opportunity to interact with law enforcement officers in a positive and fun environment.  Through a series of stations children learn about stranger danger, bike safety, and the equipment and vehicles police utilize.  This year there was also an obstacle course, k-9 and swat demonstrations, and a pig chase.  Approximately 300 children attended the academies, which were held in Middletown and Emmitsburg.  To learn about more about the Junior Deputy Academy, contact the Community Deputy Program at 301-600-3683.
