• This year the Frederick County Health Department will use an appointment system for all scheduled flu clinics.
• Appointment scheduling will be done 2 different ways:  on-line and by virtual call center.
• We will begin taking appointments in mid-September.  Please continue to check this site for updates.
• We will not provide "Drive Thru" vaccinations. 
• We will not hold clinics at any Frederick County Public School locations this year.

• You will be able to choose between Injectable Vaccine (by needle) or Intranasal Vaccine (FluMist)
• We are offering free flu shots for children 5-11 years of age.
• Flu vaccine is also available for children 6 mo. to 5 years and 12 years and older.
• Costs:
  • FluMist $26.00
  • Injectable $21.00
  • Children 5-11 years of age FREE
  • Payment:  Cash or check only.  Credit and debit cards are not accepted
  • If you have Medicare Part B remember to bring your card*

*Please note - Medicare will only pay for HMO participants to receive their flu and pneumonia vaccine through their HMO.  The Health Department will not be able to bill the Medicare HMO.  Medicare HMO participants who choose to receive their shots from the Health Department will be charged the above fees.
