The Department of Solid Waste Management offers a variety of free educational outreach services to the local community to help residents learn more about wasting less. We can provide:
- Guest speakers for community organization/club meetings or business gatherings
- Tours of the DSWM facilities (for adults and students in grades 7 and up)
- Recycling education kits for students in grades K-5
- General information about recycling or waste reduction
- Staff trainings for businesses that recycle
- How-to programs for home composting
- Display materials for loan
- Staff and exhibit displays for community events
