Fees
On May 18, 2010, the Frederick County Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) approved Ordinance No. 10-08-543, establishing a fee of $35.00 per standard ticket and $15.00 per update ticket for commercial users of the Miss Utility system. Please note that this fee will pertain only to those tickets for which our locators physically mark the area. Tickets will not be chargeable if the area was not marked (e.g., the work involves putting a deck on the back of a home but our lines run through the front yard.)This Ordinance became effective July 1, 2010. Commercial users will be charged monthly for these fees.

Please note that Frederick County Division of Utilities & Solid Waste Management locators only mark Frederick County owned/operated water and sewer lines. We do not mark private lines.

Update: The BOCC has eliminated the process of charging for Miss Utility locates which was approved March 31, 2011 under Resolution 11-07.Beginning April 1, 2011 commercial users will not be charged for locates.
