Overview
Powerware Parties are fun, interactive gatherings of 10-20 people who are interested in becoming more "power-aware." They are ideal for hosting within an affiliated community such as a workplace, faith community, neighborhood association, or school. Frederick County also hosts a monthly Powerware Party for any interested residents. See schedule at right.
Modeled loosely after Tupperware parties, but without a product purchasing focus, participants can expect interactive activities about how households use energy, demonstrations of simple energy saving devices, information about how to get involved with the Green Homes Challenge, and energy saving gifts!
Organize a Powerware Party

- Provide refreshments
Representatives from the Sustainability Office do the rest! You can find all the details and support materials for hosting your party by reading the Powerware Party Host Packet.
