The following programs are coordinated to match the curriculum requirements of the Frederick County Public School System. Additional programs and / or themes can be developed. Call the Park Naturalist at (301) 600-2050 to discuss any program content or to create a program specifically for your class.

Sensory Trail
This spring we will offer a new Sensory Trail Field Trip Program for Pre-K through 3rd grade students. This field trip will include a guided walk along our new 0.2 mile interactive sensory trail and several hands on sensory learning activities.

Catoctin Critters Afterschool Program
Schools out and now it’s time to play! One day per week for five weeks a Nature Instructor from Catoctin Creek Nature Center will come out to your school and present interactive nature lessons. Kids will have the chance to meet live animals, create nature crafts, and enjoy hands on nature activities. Topics include: Animal Diversity, Animal Architects, Fascinating World of Insects, HERPS Amphibians & Reptiles, Nature Detectives, and much more.
