Community Technical Advisory Committee
Purpose
The purpose of the Community Technical Advisory Committee for the Cancer Cluster Investigation is to a). Provide assistance in determining what questions should be examined regarding cancer numbers - geographic region, time period, types of cancer, and etc. and b) Identify options for how to answer the questions(s)/hypothesis(es).
Working Hypothesis
The working hypothesis or the question to be answered that the Community Technical Advisory Committee for the Cancer Cluster Investigation is working on is -- Is there an increased rate of cancers (gather data on all types, possibly narrow down later based on confirmed exposures) within 1/4 mile radius around Ft. Detrick (Area A and B)?
Meeting Information
All meetings are held at the Frederick County Health Department on Wednesday evenings from 7pm-9pm. The meetings are scheduled approximately every 2 weeks, but variations may occur due to weather and the availability of information relevant to the meeting agenda.
