Shelters and Warming / Cooling Centers
Emergency shelter locations are only opened based on the needs of an ongoing event. Information will be posted if the County makes the determination a shelter is necessary. Public buildings such as libraries are good locations to warm up / cool down. If you find yourself in need of shelter due to a personal emergency, the following resources may help you:

This disaster assistance helps you with critical expenses not covered by other means. It is not intended to restore your damaged property to its condition before the disaster, but it can ease the pain and cost of rebuilding your life.
One of the main requirements to qualify for assistance is any losses must have occurred in an area covered by a federal disaster declaration.
While some housing assistance fund are available through FEMAs Individuals and Households Program, most disaster assistance from the federal government is provided by loans administered by the Small Business Administration.
