Overview
One goal of the Community Development Division is to encourage growth in a smart way through initiatives, outreach, and services which support land preservation and environmentally sustainable practices.
Development Efforts
- Sustainable Frederick County - Sustainable resources and initiatives available to the government and the community.
- Watershed Management - Prevents pollution, educates the public, assess current conditions, and supports efforts for improvement and protection of watersheds.
- Agricultural Preservation - Administers a variety of local, state, and federal land preservation programs focused on protecting agricultural lands.
