ALERT Frederick County is an emergency notification system that allows local officials to notify you in the event of an emergency.

You can choose to receive alerts about emergencies that may affect your residence, workplace, child's school, or other areas within the boundaries of Frederick County. It can also provide you with community updates on topics that interest you. You can register to receive alerts numerous ways, including on your cell, work and home phones, text message, e-mail and more.


ALERT Frederick County - Register for emergency notifications.


Registering is easy - create a user name and password, add your contact information then select any additional community updates to receive. To ensure that you receive the community updates you selected as well as emergency alerts, register at least one phone number and one email address.

The information you enter is protected and will not be used for any other purpose.


When an emergency message is broadcast, it will be sent to all devices that you have registered, in the order you have selected. Community updates are delivered only once via email or text message.
