Mission statement
The Treasury Department collects all revenues deposited in all County accounts. The office is responsible for mailing out tax bills three times a year on a timely basis and for the collection and deposit of the monies into the County’s accounts on a daily basis. A tax sale is held the second Monday of May of each fiscal year. All deeds transferring title to real estate are reviewed to verify that real estate and recordation taxes are paid. Motor Vehicle Administration automobile license renewals are processed. Citizens may purchase dog/cat licenses, transit bus passes and recycling bin lids.
