PRESS RELEASE - October 19, 2012
Effective January 1, 2013 any new installations of septic systems in the State of Maryland will be fitted with Best Available Technologies (BAT).  After this date, conventional septic systems will no longer be accepted for new construction.  This action will be in compliance with Code of Maryland (COMAR 26.04.02.07) regulations.  For further information please read

Effective January 26, 2012 Environmental Health Services will begin accepting Visa/Mastercard, for transactions within our division.  This service will be available from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. only.   All transactions involving payment that are completed after 4:00 p.m. must be done with exact change or check only.  We will NOT be accepting debit transactions or call in, email or mail transactions using a credit card at this time.
