This department administers the County’s Purchasing Rules to ensure compliance with Board of County Commissioners adopted policy and adherence to applicable state and federal procurement regulations.

The goal is to maximize the value received in all expenditures of tax dollars. Fairness, transparency and accessibility are the key guidelines in dealing with those desiring to do business with the County. Strategic Sourcing, Best Value Procurement and the use of electronic commerce are three methodologies utilized to effectively perform Procurement & Contracting's mission.
