Important Notice
Braddock Heights Water Customers

The Frederick County Division of Utilities and Solid Waste Management (DUSWM) has contracted with the George Kountoupes Painting Company to repaint the exterior surface of the water storage tank located on Schley Avenue.  To properly repaint the water tank, it was taken out of service and the water drained.

Division staff have installed a temporary water booster system to supply water to customers while the storage tank is out of service.  We do not anticipate customers will experience significant service impacts during this work, although some residents may notice a slight decrease in water pressure during peak water usage times.

We have communicated with the Frederick County Division of Fire and Rescue Services to ensure proper contingency plans are in place.

Work to repaint the tank began on Friday April 28, 2017 and is expected to be completed by mid-June (or earlier, weather permitting).

Should you have any questions concerning this matter or others related to your water system, please call the Frederick County Division of Utilities and Solid Waste Management at 301-600-1825, Monday through Friday (excluding Holidays) from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.  For service related issues on weekends, holidays, or after-hours, please contact our emergency number at 301-600-2194.

As a valued customer, we believe it is important to keep you informed of any changes in your service and want to thank you in advance for your patience while we complete this effort.
