- One-way base fare: $1.50
- Ten-trip ticket: $10
- Youth / students monthly pass: $30
- Summer Freedom Pass - $15 (June 1 - August 31)
Transfers between routes are free, deviations are $2.
Reduced Fare
** To qualify for a reduced fare (either by cash, multi-trip tickets, or monthly pass), the passenger must show 1 of the following forms of identification (ID):
- TransIT reduced fair ID card
- Temporary reduced fare eligibility certification on TransIT letterhead
- City of Frederick senior citizen or handicapped ID card
- MVA-issued ID card showing age 60+ or disability
- Other transit system's ID
- Medicare ID
MARC Passes
The Metro Rail / MARC Transit Link Card is accepted on all TransIT shuttles, fixed-routes, and deviated fixed-route services. MARC 1-way train tickets marked "Frederick" or "Brunswick" and MARC passes are accepted on the Meet-The-MARC Shuttles in route to or from the train station. These tickets or passes will not be accepted during MARC non-operating hours and Saturdays.
An additional $2 will be charged for special stops not along the regular route (deviation) 24-hour advance request required.
Additional Facts / Requirements
- Medicare card holders are entitled to reduced fares according to the TranslT reduced fare policy.
- Children under 3-feet tall ride free.
- Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Purchasing Tickets
Download Token Transit the mobile ticketing app, to purchase tickets with your smart phone. All ticket types, including the new one-day pass, are available on the app along with plan your trip tools and social media links.
Paper multi-trip tickets and passes for Connectors and Shuttles may be purchased using cash, check or credit card* at 30 North Market Street. Student tickets are also sold at the Frederick Community College bookstore.
TransIT-plus tickets may be purchased at the Frederick County Treasurer’s office or Frederick Senior Center, by mail and via credit card* by calling TransIT at 301-600-2065.
*All credit cards accepted. All credit card purchases will receive a 2.5% surcharge on the transaction total.
