VETERANS' DAY HOLIDAY: The Division of Solid Waste Management and Recycling's facilities (transfer station, landfill, recycling drop-off center and offices) will be closed in observance of the Veterans' Day holiday on Wednesday, November 11, 2020. There will be no residential recycling collection that day and the schedule will shift one day later than usual for the remainder of the week.
Covid-19 Facility Impact:
The Division of Solid Waste and Recycling facilities (transfer station, Citizens’ Convenience Center, recycling drop-off center, yard waste drop-off) are OPEN to the public, operating on the normal schedule, Monday - Saturday, 7am - 4:30pm.
However, administrative office buildings remain closed to the public. Please call 301-600-1848 if you need assistance with landfill business.
At this time all transactions must be paid by credit card or check, no cash payments.
All customers must wear a mask/face covering or practice social distancing while on site.
The Frederick County Division of Solid Waste and Recycling operates the Reichs Ford Road Sanitary Landfill, Transfer Station and Recycling Drop-Off Center, which are accessible to businesses and residents for processing waste generated within Frederick County only.
All waste disposal transactions require a driver's license.
For customers with an out-of-county driver's license, proof of the address in Frederick County where waste was generated is required (such as a utility bill, tax bill, lease agreement, etc.)
All customers without an existing account must pay for transactions at time of service.
Acceptable forms of payment are personal/business checks, cashiers check, money order, cash, Discover, Visa, or Master Cards.
