Partial Payments

Although Frederick County does not offer any type of formal payment plan for customers, they do accept partial payments of real estate tax bills.  You are able to pay any amount of your bill at the times of your choosing up until the Friday before the County’s annual tax lien sale in May.  Many taxpayers divide their bills into monthly, weekly or other installments.  Paying partial amounts allows you to reduce the balance due on a schedule that works for you.  The accruing of interest continues as usual on any unpaid balance due as of October 1st.  The dates relating to delinquency, advertising and tax sale also continue as usual.  If you have questions relating to partial payments, please contact the Treasury Department at 301-600-1111 or treasuryquestions@frederickcountymd.gov
