County Executive Jan Gardner launched the School Construction Round Table Work Grou
work group at her public information briefing on March 10, 2016, with the mission of exploring options for long-range solutions to solve Frederick County school capacity needs.

The work group will examine school construction in Frederick County in an effort to reduce costs and make recommendations for future legislation.

Topics such as construction materials, the bidding process and policies and legislation that impact costs, among other key topics, will be examined over the next several months.

The work group will be facilitated by Special Projects Manager Michael Marschner and include the following members:  Ray Barnes, Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS); Kyle Bostian, parent representative; Joe Dattoli, retired construction specialist from FCPS; Darrell Guyton, Morgan Keller; Jeremy Holder, Ausherman Properties; Tom King, King & Asbury Architects (now Noelker & Hull Architects); Chuck Nipe, Frederick County Public Works; Richard Pryor, Pryor Mechanical; Dusty Rood, Rodgers Consulting, and Jason Wiley, Oakdale LLC/Elm Street Development.
