Recycling Poster Design Contest

And the Winners Are...

Congratulations to the winners of our 2017 Recycling Poster Design Contest! The winners were announced by County Executive Jan Gardner yesterday; they are:
• Grand Prize: Joshua Pratchios, 12th grade at Linganore High School
• Community Choice Prize: Reagan Riley, 1st grade at Middletown Primary School
• Grades K-2: Siena Esposito, kindergarten at Centerville Elementary
• Grades 3-5: CiCi Hunter, 4th grade at The Banner School
• Grades 6-8: Matt Lim, 8th grade at Urbana Middle School
• Grades 9-12: Danielle Tundo, 10th grade at Urbana High School

Entrants were asked to create artwork that provides education on or promotion of the topic of recycling.  Designs should increase awareness of, participation in or understanding of recycling.  Entries should reflect one or more of the following themes:
       •  communicate what is and is not recyclable in Frederick County
       •  demonstrate the ease of recycling
       •  draw attention to the value of recycling
       •  show that recycling is an important part of the community.
