Adopt-a-Stop

Want to help keep Frederick a safe and clean place to live, work, and thrive? Proud of your community? Looking for a way to give back? Transit’s Adopt-a-Stop program is for you!

Transit’s Adopt-a-Stop program encourages businesses, groups, and organizations to “adopt” or take responsibility for one of the county’s nearly 400 bus stops or shelters — cleaning up litter, reporting graffiti or damage to Transit, and letting the agency know about any service needs.

Adopters will be recognized with a sign at their stop and a certificate from the county thanking them for their support. The Adopt-a-Stop program is a great way to help people become more familiar with Transit, since Transit is such an important part of our community.

Transit thanks our current adopters:

7th Street and Military Road bus shelter: Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers (BOSS), at Fort Detrick

Opossumtown Pike and Amber Drive: Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. - Beta Alpha Sigma Zeta Chapter

If you or your group/organization is interested in adopting a bus stop or shelter, please email us!
