Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner called on the County Council to restore the public process that has been used over the past three years so citizens can participate in an open and transparent government. She asked for public hearings to be held on two bills, which were tabled on Tuesday, that address infrastructure needs generated by residential growth.
“From day one, my administration has been focused on restoring trust in government by providing an open and transparent process. Good government depends on it,” said Executive Gardner. “Citizens have a right to know what their government is doing and should have a right to participate. This is what citizens deserve and expect from their elected officials.”
