The Frederick County Heroin Consortium will hold its next meeting at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20. The agenda includes updates on Mountain Manor’s detox facilities and on Health Department partnerships and programs, such as National Recovery Month, the Linkages Diversion Project, mobile services, the Opioid Operational Command Center grant for Hospice, and the expansion of crisis services.
County Executive Jan Gardner formed the Heroin Consortium to bring together county agencies, non-profits, and other community partners to work together to effectively address substance abuse and to reduce overdose and fatalities. The consortium helps facilitate communication, encourages the sharing of information and resources, and produces a unified response to the challenges facing Frederick County residents.
The briefing will be held in the third floor meeting room of Winchester Hall, 12 E. Church Street, broadcast live on FCG TV cable channels 19 and 1085, and webcast on www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/FCGTV.
