FREDERICK, MD – The Frederick County Office of Project Management announced today that Shadywood Drive between Brook Drive and the Briercrest Condominiums which was previously planned for closure on or about November 7, 2002, has been rescheduled to be closed on or about November 14, 2022, due to the discovery of several unmarked underground utilities. This closure will allow Magstone Construction to complete the construction of BMP 115, the Stormwater Management Facility located on the east side of Shadywood Drive. Detour signs will be placed along Jefferson Pike, Holter Road, Champlaine Drive, Manheim Place, Amesbury Way, Shadywood Drive, Brook Drive, and Old Middletown Road. The project is anticipated to last approximately two (2) weeks weather permitting. The work includes the rehabilitation of the existing stormwater management facility and the replacement of the concrete pipe under Shadywood Drive.
