Controlled Dangerous Substance Arrest
On 01/09/16 the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office arrested Maude Bernice Johnson, age 42 of Martinsburg, WV, on two charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS).
At approximately 1:45 a.m., Corporal Amanda Ensor made a traffic stop for a moving violation on Route 340 westbound in the area of Jefferson Technology Parkway. During the traffic stop a Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit responded to assist. The K-9 unit conducted a scan of the vehicle and alerted to the odor of a narcotic. During a search of Johnson, six vials of cocaine and four bags of heroin were discovered on her body, and one vial of cocaine was located on the seat of the vehicle.
Johnson was arrested without incident and transported to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center’s Central Booking Unit for processing. The CDS was seized as evidence and placed on property with the Sheriff’s Office.
