      In 2021 a Planning Committee was formed to coordinate the celebration and events for Frederick County’s 275th anniversary.  Frederick County, Maryland was founded on June 10, 1748.  It is the interest of the County to partner with community organizations to commemorate this historic moment.

      The mission of Frederick County, Maryland is to preserve and enhance the quality of life for all citizens by ensuring optimum services, open government, and creative uses of community resources.
