Mission Statement
The Frederick County Solid Waste Advisory Committee is created for the purpose of recommending to the County Executive the soundest methods of waste disposal, recycling, and waste reduction; and advising the County Executive on specifically requested policy alternatives.
Membership
The Committee shall have 12 voting members in the following categories:
Business - Industrial

Municipality- Population 40,000 or more

Each member shall serve a term of 3 years. The term of the members shall be staggered, as required by the terms of members initially appointed in September 1991. A designated member of the County Council shall be a voting, ex-officio member of the Committee and shall serve in a capacity with his/her term.
