IMPORTANT NOTICE:

If you need a fire or life safety inspection associated with a building permit, please contact the Frederick County Permitting Office or the City of Frederick.
The Office of the Fire Marshal handles reinspection's only.
If you are adding a room or making building modifications, you must contact the appropriate Permitting Office listed above.

All child care inspections are routed through the Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Office of Child Care, please contact your assigned MSDE Case Worker for inspection assistance.

Inspection Fees

The Office of the County Fire Marshal is authorized to charge fees for services provided during the course of inspections. This fee schedule has been approved by the County Council.

Inspection Scheduling

The Fire Marshal's Office will contact you to schedule the inspection and will provide instructions for processing the associated inspection fee.
