The Grants Management Department develops and supports best practices for County grants and provides funding opportunities for County departments and local organizations for services and projects that improve the lives of citizens in a manner that ensures accountability and measured results. The department is responsible for a countywide grant policy and planning by developing countywide policies and procedures to implement best practices regarding grants management.
Frederick County was allocated $50,413,962 in federal Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. These funds are designed to help turn the tide on the pandemic, address its economic fallout, and lay the foundation for a strong and equitable recovery.
The Frederick County Community Partnership Grant program awards competitive grants to eligible non-profit organizations serving the needs of County residents.
The Frederick County HEART: Helping Empower Area Resources Together Grant Program will allocate approximately $1,500,000 in one-time funding to provide awards to eligible nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations impacted by the federal government shutdown. The HEART program is designed to support organizations, programs and activities that provide essential needs and services to Frederick County residents.
