Smoketown Brewing Station Grand Opening

On Saturday April 30th, 2016 Smoketown Brewing Station at 223 West Potomac St., Brunswick, MD 21716 held its Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting Event. Council Member Jerry Donald and County Executive, Jan Gardner participated in the ribbon-cutting and provided the restaurant owner, David Blackmon, and manager Kathy Martin, with a certificate of recognition. Also in attendance were Karin Tome, Mayor of Brunswick, members of the Brunswick City Council, and Kevin Mack of Congressmen Delaney’s office, among others. All were elated to see this business officially open to the public.

The restaurant is located in the former Brunswick firehouse and on display for the grand event, was a fire truck, but not just any fire truck… A 1953 American LaFrance Pumper, formerly owned and operated by the Brunswick Fire Department. It is now privately owned but provided as a courtesy for this special occasion.

Afterward a courtesy barbeque lunch was served and guests were welcomed to explore the new restaurant.
