Since Frederick County launched its
Green Homes Challenge in January 2011, more than 750 households have met one or
more of the three Green Homes Challenges: Be a Power Saver, Be a Green
Leader, or Be a Renewable Star. Frederick County public officials and
OSER staff will recognize these Certified Challenge Takers at a celebration at
the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center beginning at 6:30 p.m. on March 29, 2018. 
Hosted by County Executive Jan Gardner,
the Recognition Event will include presentation of the 2018 Sustainability
Awards which recognizes individuals and organizations for outstanding service
in furthering the goals of a Sustainable Frederick County.
