Planned Outage Won’t Affect 9-1-1 Calls
FREDERICK, Md. – Scheduled upgrades to Frederick County’s telephone system will require the system to be offline for approximately three hours, beginning at 9 p.m. on Monday, May 6. During that time, calls and voice mail messages will not be available for several locations. Callers will hear a busy signal. This outage will not affect calls to 9-1-1. Affected locations include:
Frederick County Government
- Winchester Hall offices, including the Office of the County Executive, the County Council, and the following divisions and offices: Budget, Communications & Public Engagement, County Attorney, Equity and Inclusion, Finance, Human Resources, Interagency Information Technologies, Procurement and Contracting, and Risk Management.
- 30 North Market Street offices: Energy and Environment, Planning and Permitting, and Treasury.
- 118 North Market Street offices: Agriculture, and Economic Development.
The City of Frederick
- City Hall
- Clustered Spires Golf Course
- Community Action Agency
- William R. Talley Recreation Center
All phone service should be restored by Tuesday, May 7.
