[ARCHIVED] Temporary Office Closures and Service Updates at Frederick County Workforce Services

FREDERICK, Md. - Frederick County Workforce Services, located at the American Job Center at 200 Monroe Avenue in Frederick, will be temporarily closed on select days while the building undergoes a roof replacement. The construction will begin August 13 and is expected to continue throughout August.

During these closures, in-person and walk-in services will be unavailable. However, expanded virtual services will be available to ensure continued support for job seekers and employers.

Some workshops and events may be canceled, rescheduled, or relocated due to construction. The schedule is subject to change based on weather and other conditions.

To maintain public access to services during the closures, the main phone line will be monitored, to ensure calls are answered and routed appropriately. In addition, Frederick County Workforce Services is temporarily offering virtual appointments in place of walk-in hours during building closures.

We encourage customers to visit the Events Calendar to schedule virtual appointments and stay informed about service availability.

State Agency Services Temporarily Unavailable

The Maryland Department of Labor’s Divisions of Workforce Development and Adult Learning, which also operates within the American Job Center, will not be available for in-person assistance from August 13 through August 15 due to the building construction.

Customers needing assistance with the Maryland Workforce Exchange, TrueID verification, or the Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment program may email frick.js@maryland.gov for support.

Connect with a staff member virtually. Virtual office hours are 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Frederick County Workforce Services thanks the community for its patience during this period of facility improvement. These updates reflect an ongoing commitment to delivering a high-quality experience for all visitors.
