FREDERICK, Md. – The Frederick County Office of Economic Development (FCOED) and Frederick Innovative Technology Center, Inc. (FITCI) are proud to announce that international company Opus Technology LTD has selected Frederick County, Maryland to launch its U.S. location. Founded in 2012, Opus Technology LTD is a software development company specializing in custom solutions across mobile apps, gaming, animation, web development, and AI. Their solutions are tailored to fit any operating system, browser, or device, ensuring compatibility and seamless functionality.
“Frederick County is dedicated to fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment for businesses and we are thrilled to welcome Opus Technology to our community,” County Executive Jessica Fitzwater said. “Opus Technology’s innovative solutions and commitment to excellence align with our growing information security and technology sector. We look forward to supporting their growth and success here.”
The company is expanding into the U.S. through the Maryland Global Gateway program. This Maryland Department of Commerce program helps foreign companies explore the U.S. market. The company’s U.S. location marks the 12th country that Opus Technology has implemented projects in, further expanding their worldwide presence.
As part of their U.S. entry, Opus Technology is also participating in FITCI’s Soft Landing Program, which provides international companies with mentoring, infrastructure, and resources to reduce barriers to U.S. market entry. The company received state funding through Global Gateway to subsidize the cost of their soft landing at FITCI.
“With a focus on enterprise solutions and navigating the digital landscape, Opus Technology brings a wealth of knowledge to the Frederick Innovative Technology Center,” said Maryland Commerce Secretary Harry Coker, Jr. “We are pleased to welcome this innovative software development company to Maryland and look forward to growing our relationship with its headquarters in Bangladesh.”
“We are excited to have Opus Technology join the vibrant community at FITCI,” said Kathie Callahan Brady, President and CEO of FITCI. “Their work exemplifies the critical role technology plays in driving innovation, creating jobs, and strengthening our local economy. FITCI’s collaborative environment will be a great home for Opus Technology as they grow and contribute to Frederick County’s thriving tech ecosystem.”
Regarding the decision to locate in Maryland, Opus Technology LTD Managing Director and CEO Jafar Iqbal said, “We are excited to join the FITCI community and call Frederick County our United States home. The county’s strong technology ecosystem, talented workforce, and supportive business environment make it the ideal place for us to innovate and grow.
