[ARCHIVED] 2/20 - County Highway Crews Continue Progress with Snow Recovery Operations

The Office of Highway Operations worked until 6:00 p.m. on Friday to continue to clear snow from the Villages of Urbana and Urbana Highlands.

The office has now suspended operations and will resume cleanup operations on Monday morning, giving crews a chance to get some needed rest. The contract equipment will not be working through the weekend.

The only remaining concerns are some clean up in Urbana and some scattered subdivisions in the Monrovia and Green Valley area. The only contract equipment utilized by the office will be three Loaders and four Tandem Dump Trucks that will be needed Monday in Urbana.

Frederick County Government and the Office of Highway Operations appreciates the public’s support, cooperation and understanding throughout the storm and cleanup operations!
