In response to citizen concerns about the rescheduling of the Monrovia Town Center public hearings at Winchester Hall at a date close to the Christmas holidays, the Frederick Board of County Commissioners announced that the hearings will be postponed to January 14, 2014, and continuing on January 15, 2014. The hearings on January 14 and 15 will be held at Urbana High School, the original location of the hearings before they were rescheduled yesterday due to a winter snow storm and subsequent closure of Frederick County Public Schools.
The hearings will start at 6:00 p.m. Urbana High School is located at 3471 Campus Drive, Ijamsville, Md.
The public hearings will be on Rezoning Case #R-12-02 - Monrovia Town Center Planned Unit Development (PUD) and the Monrovia Town Center PUD Development Rights and Responsibilities Agreement (including approval of an Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance Letter of Understanding).
In addition, the following evenings have been rescheduled for the continuance of the hearings, unless otherwise announced: Thursday, January 16, Tuesday, January 21, and Wednesday, January 22, 2014. These hearings will start at 6:00 p.m. and will be held in the first floor hearing room of Winchester Hall, 12 East Church Street, Frederick, Md.
Citizens wishing to speak at the public hearings must sign up on January 14 in order to speak that evening or during any of the continuing meetings.
The meetings will be broadcast live on Frederick County Government cable channel 19 or may be viewed on webcasting at www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/media. The meetings will be rebroadcast on channel 19 and citizens are encouraged to check the county’s website (www.FrederickCountyMD.gov) for the dates and times.
