Frederick County Government offices and facilities will be closed on Thursday, February 13, due to an expected winter storm. A National Weather Service WINTER STORM WARNING is in effect from 8:00 p.m. tonight through 5:00 a.m. on Friday, February 14. Snow accumulations are predicted to be between six to 10 inches with more possible in higher elevations.
Frederick County emergency officials urge residents to stay off the roads starting tonight through the day tomorrow not only for their own safety, but to allow first responders to give priority attention to those most in need.
