[ARCHIVED] 2/14 - Frederick County Govt, Libraries, Circuit & District Courts Opening @ 10 am - Liberal Leave

Frederick County Government offices and facilities will open on Friday, February 14, at 10:00 a.m. and employees will operate on the liberal leave policy after that time.

In addition, Frederick County Public Libraries and District and Circuit Courts will also open at 10:00 a.m. today. TransIT Services will operate on normal schedules.

Also, due to snow blocking downtown side streets and parking spaces, The City of Frederick will provide free parking in all city parking decks for residents and visitors from Friday through Monday. As a result, when Frederick County Government employees with parking passes try to enter the parking decks, they may find that they are full. If so, they are advised to go to another city parking deck to find a space.

Delayed opening or reduced staffing levels of some county offices may occur today. Citizens are encouraged to confirm their appointments or call ahead to ensure that staff are available to assist them before traveling to a county office.

The National Weather Service reports that skies will be mostly sunny today with a high of 37 degrees.

Highway Operation crews continue working hard to clear the roadways and return the community to normal conditions.
