The Frederick County Treasury encourages citizens to utilize the county’s innovative service for making online contributions to various agencies.
So far, the Animal Control and Pet Adoption Center and Department of Aging Meals on Wheels programs have received the most credit and debit card donations through the “donate now” link on the county website at www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/donate.
Online donations have been available since last fall to the Department of Aging to support the Meals on Wheels, lunch, transportation, caregiver respite or senior emergency assistance programs. Such tax-deductible donations help the older adults, their families and caregivers who live in Frederick County. The donation service was expanded in December to include other agencies.
