Curbside recycling service was being provided today as part of a shifted schedule due to a winter storm on Tuesday, February 17; since collection was not possible that day, all residential recycling pick-ups shifted one day later than usual for the remainder of the week. Inclement weather and hazardous road conditions are again affecting service.
In response this latest inclement weather, recycling collection for Saturday, February 21, is postponed for the remainder of the day. Collections for areas not completed on Saturday, February 21st will resume on Monday, February 23rd. To assist with road clearing efforts, any carts not yet emptied should be removed from the curb and placed back out for collection by 6am on Monday the 23rd.
Further information and updates on the status of the curbside recycling collection can be obtained by visiting the Department of Solid Waste Management’s website at: www.FrederickCountyMD.gov/recycle, by calling 301-600-2960 to hear regularly updated voice recordings or by visiting the Department’s Facebook page at www.Facebook.com/FrederickRecycles.
