Not sure you'll be able to make it to your polling place or perhaps you have plans to be out of town on Primary Election Day, April 26?
You have two alternatives available to you for voting: you can request an absentee ballot OR you can participate in Early Voting. Registered Voters in Frederick County are allowed to vote early before the 2016 Primary Election. Early Voting occurs through Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 10 AM to 8 PM.
Early Voting is held on eight days before Election Day, and, in Frederick County, we have three Early Voting Centers -- you may stop in at any of the Early Voting Centers and cast your ballot in person during the early voting period.
Frederick County's Early Voting Centers are located at:
Frederick Senior Center, 1440 Taney Avenue, Frederick, Maryland 21702
Thurmont Regional Library, 76 East Moser Road, Thurmont, Maryland 21788
Urbana Regional Library, 9020 Amelung Street, Frederick, Maryland 21704
The process during early voting is the same as on Election Day. Registered voters who arrive at any Early Voting Center will check in and vote their ballot. Please note that Early Voting Centers are not open on the Primary Election Day! On those days, voters must vote at their assigned polling places.
