County Executive Jan Gardner announced today that on September 1, Frederick County Government settled with Aurora Holdings VII, LLC, to retain the Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center and Montevue Assisted Living facility. Details of the settlement have not changed since they were announced on May 18.
“Citizens and Montevue have always represented something good and something special in our community,” Executive Gardner said during a press conference today. “I am grateful that the county is able to continue our longstanding mission to take care of our own, honor the 1828 covenant on the property and keep our promise to our seniors.”
